غزل ۱۹ مولانا

۱	امروز دیدم یار را، آن رونَقِ هر کار را	می‌شُد رَوان بر آسْمان، همچون رَوانِ مُصطفی
۲	خورشید از رویَش خَجِل، گَردونْ مُشبَّک هَمچو دل	از تابشِ او آب و گِل، اَفْزون زِ آتش در ضیا
۳	گفتم که بِنْما نردبان، تا بَررَوَم بر آسْمان	گفتا سَرِ تو نردبان، سَر را دَرآوَر زیرِ پا
۴	چون پایِ خود بر سَر نَهی، پا بر سَرِ اَخْتَر نَهی	چون تو هوا را بِشْکَنی، پا بر هوا نِهْ، هین بیا
۵	بر آسْمان و بر هوا، صد رَه پدید آید تو را	بر آسْمان پَرّان شوی، هر صُبح‌دَم، همچون دُعا

۱- Today I beheld the beloved, that ornament of every affair;

he went off departing to heaven like the spirit of Mustafā.

۲- The sun is put to shame by his countenance, heaven’s sphere is as confused as the heart;

through his glow, water and clay are more resplendent than fire.

۳- “I said, “Show me the ladder, that I may mount up to heaven.”

He said, “Your head is the ladder; bring your head down under your feet.”

۴- When you place your feet on your head, you will place your feet on the head of the stars;

when you cleave through the air, set your foor on the air, so, and come!

۵- A hundred ways to heaven’s air become manifest to you;

you go flying up to heaven every dawning like a prayer.
