غزل ۶۱۴ مولانا
| ۱ | آن بندهٔ آواره بازآمد و بازآمد | چون شمع به پیشِ تو در سوز و گُداز آمد | |
| ۲ | چون عَبْهَر و قَند ای جان در روْش بِخَند ای جان | دَر را بِمَبَنْد ای جان زیرا به نیاز آمد | |
| ۳ | وَرْزان که بِبَندی دَر بر حُکْمِ تو بِنْهَد سَر | بر بنده نیاز آمد شَهْ را همه ناز آمد | |
| ۴ | هر شمعِ گُدازیده شُد روشنیِ دیده | کان را که گُداز آمد او مَحْرَمِ راز آمد | |
| ۵ | زَهْراب زِ دستِ وِیْ گَر فرق کُنم از میْ | پَس در رَهِ جانْ جانَم وَاللّهْ به مَجاز آمد | |
| ۶ | آبِ حَیَوانَش را حیوان زِ کجا نوشَد؟ | کِی بیند رویَش را چَشمی که فَراز آمد؟ | |
| ۷ | من تَرکِ سَفَر کردم با یار شُدم ساکِن | وَزْ مرگ شُدم ایِمن کانْ عُمرِ دراز آمد | |

| ۱- That wandering slave has returned, returned; he has come before You burning and melting like a candle. |
| ۲- Smile upon him, O Soul, like anemone and sugar-candy; do not shut the door, O Soul, for he comes in need. |
| ۳- And even if You close the door, he will submit to Your decree; the servant is all servile need, the king is full of pride and disdain. |
| ۴- Every molten candle has become the brightness of the eye, for he who has suffered melting has become privy to the secret. |
| ۵- If I make a difference between envenomed water from His hand and wine, in the path of the Spirit my spirit has come, by Allah, but insincerely. |
| ۶- How should any animal drink His water of life? How should the eye which is closed behold His face? |
| ۷- I have abandoned travel, I have come to dwell with the Friend, I have become secure from death because that long life has come. |
| ۸- My heart, since you are in this stream why then do you still seek for water? How long will you say, “Come to the Feast”? The time of prayer has come. |
