غزل ۱۵۳۱ مولانا

۱	بیا کِامْروزْ شَه را ما شکاریم	سَر خویش و سَرِ عالَم نداریم
۲	بیا کِامْروزْ چون موسیِّ عِمْران	به مَردی گَرد از دریا بَرآریم
۳	همه شب چون عَصا افتاده بودیم	چو روز آمد چو ثُعبانْ‌‌ بی‌قَراریم
۴	چو گِردِ سینه خود طوف کردیم	یَدِ بَیضا زِ جَیْبِ جانْ بَرآریم
۵	بِدان قُدرت که ماری شُد عَصایی	به هر شبْ چون عَصا و روزْ ماریم
۶	پِیِ فرعونِ سَرکَش اژدَهاییم	پِیِ موسی عَصا و بُردباریم
۷	به هِمَّت خونِ نِمْرودان بِریزیم	تو این مَنْگَر که چون پَشِّه نِزاریم
۸	بَراَفْزاییم بر شیران و پیلان	اگر چه در کَفِ آن شیر زاریم
۹	اگر چه هَمچو اُشْتُر کَژْ نَهادیم	چو اُشتُر سویِ کعبه راهْواریم
۱۰	به اِقْبالِ دوروزه دلْ نَبَندیم	که در اِقْبالِ باقی کامکاریم
۱۱	چو خورشید و قَمَر نزدیک و دوریم	چو عشق و دل نَهان و آشکاریم
۱۲	برایِ عشقِ خون آشامِ خونْ خوار	سَگانَش را چو خونْ اَنْدَر تَغاریم
۱۳	چو ماهی وَقتِ خاموشی خَموشیم	به وقتِ گُفت ماهِ‌‌ بی‌غُباریم

۱- Come, for today we are the quarry of the King, we have no need for self and the world.

۲- Come, for today like Moses son of ‘Imrān we will lift up dust from the sea.

۳- All night we were fallen like staves; now that day has come we are restless as serpents.

۴- Having circumambulated round our own breast, we bring out of the soul’s pocket the White Hand.

۵- By that power whereby a serpent became a staff, every night we are like a staff, daily a serpent;

۶- For arrogant Pharaoh we are serpents, for Moses we are staves and obedient.

۷- By zeal we shed the blood of Nimrods; do not regards the fact that we are slender as gnats.

۸- We will exceed over lions and elephants, though in the hand of that Lion we are helpless.

۹- Though like camels we are crooked of nature, like camels we travel smoothly towards the Kaaba.

۱۰- We will not attach our hearts to a two-days’ fortune, for we are successful in everlasting fortune.

۱۱- Like sun and moon we are near and far, like love and the heart we are hidden and patent.

۱۲- For the sake of blood-lapping, blood-devouring Love we are as blood in the platter of Love’s dogs.

۱۳- As fish in the time of silence we are silent, in the time of speech we are the dustless moon.
