۱ | ما زنده به نورِ کِبْریاییم | بیگانه و سختْ آشناییم | |
۲ | نَفَسْ است چو گُرگ لیک در سِر | بر یوسُفِ مصر بَرفَزاییم | |
۳ | مَهْ توبه کُند زِ خویش بینی | گَر ما رُخِ خودْ به مَهْ نِماییم | |
۴ | دَرسوزد پَرّ و بالِ خورشید | چون ما پَر و بالْ بَرگُشاییم | |
۵ | این هَیکل آدم است روپوش | ما قِبله جُمله سَجدههاییم | |
۶ | آن دَم بِنِگَر مَبین تو آدم | تا جانْت به لُطفْ دَررُباییم | |
۷ | اِبْلیس نَظَر جُدا جُدا داشت | پِنْداشت که ما زِ حَق جُداییم | |
۸ | شَمسِ تبریز خود بَهانهست | ماییم به حُسنِ لُطف ماییم | |
۹ | با خَلْق بگو برایِ روپوش | کو شاهِ کَریم و ما گداییم | |
۱۰ | ما را چه زِ شاهی و گدایی؟ | شادیم که شاه را سِزاییم | |

۸- Shams-i Tabriz himself is the pretext; it is we who are in the beauty of grace, we. |
۹- For the sake of a veil say to men, “He is the noble king and we are beggars.” |
۱۰- What have we to do with kingship and beggary? We are happy because we are worthy of the king. |
۱۱- We are effaced in the beauty of Shams-i Tabrīz; in that effacement neither he is, nor are we. |
