غزل ۱۸۸ مولانا
| ۱ | این‌جا کسی‌ست پنهان، خود را مَگیر تنها | بَس تیز گوش دارد، مَگْشا به بَد زبان را | |
| ۲ | بر چَشمهٔ ضَمیرَت، کرد آن پَری وُثاقی | هر صورتِ خیالَت، از وِیْ شُده‌ست پیدا | |
| ۳ | هرجا که چَشمه باشد، باشد مُقامِ پَرْیان | با احتیاط باید، بودن تو را در آن‌جا | |
| ۴ | این پنج چَشمهٔ حِسّ، تا بر تَنَت رَوان است | زِاشْراقِ آن پَری دان، گَهْ بَسته گاه مُجری | |
| ۵ | وان پنج حِسّ باطِن، چون وَهْم و چون تَصوّر | هم پنج چَشمه می‌دان، پویان به سوی مَرعی | |
| ۶ | هر چَشمه را دو مُشرِف، پنجاه میرِآبَنْد | صورت به تو نِمایَند، اَنْدَر زمانِ اِخْلا | |

| ۱- Here someone is hidden; suppose not that you are alone. |
| She has very sharp ears; do not open your tongue to evil. |
| ۲- That peri has taken lodging by the fountain of your heart; |
| thereby every form of image has become manifest to you. |
| ۳- Wherever a fountain is, there is a place for peris; |
| you must act cautiously there. |
| ۴- Since these five fountains of the senses are flowing over your body, |
| know that it is by the superintendence of that fairy that sometimes they are stopped up, sometimes set flowing. |
| ۵- Know also that those five inward senses, such as imagination and conception, |
| are likewise five fountains running towards the pasture. |
| ۶- Every fountain has two superintendents and fifty controllers; |
| they disclose their forms to you in the time of burnishing. |
| ۷- The peris smite you if you are unmannerly, |
| for this kind of famous peri is impetuous and shows no favour. |
| ۸- Determinism beguiles deliberation, saying, “Now leap into action”; |
| its cunning has snatched the blanket from a hundred thousand such as we. |
| ۹- Behold the birds in the cage, behold the fishes in the net, |
| behold the hearts lamenting on account of that knowing trickster. |
| ۱۰- Open not your eye surreptitiously on any idol out of treachery, |
| lest that all-seeing prince cast you from his regard. |
| ۱۱- Several verses still remain, but this fountain has sunk into the ground; |
| that will bubble up from the fountain when we leap up tomorrow. |
