غزل ۴۸۵ مولانا
| ۱ | سه روز شُد که نِگارینِ من دگرگون است | شِکَر تُرُش نَبُوَد آن شِکَر تُرُشْ چون است؟ | |
| ۲ | به چَشمه‌‌یی که دَرو آبِ زندگانی بود | سَبو بِبُردم و دیدم که چَشمه پُرخون است | |
| ۳ | به روضه‌‌یی که دَرو صد هزار گُل می‌رُست | به جایِ میوه و گُلْ خار و سنگ و هامون است | |
| ۴ | فُسون بِخوانَم و بر رویِ آن پَری بِدَمَم | از آن که کارِ پَری خوانْ همیشه اَفْسون است | |
| ۵ | پَریِّ من به فُسون‌ها زَبونِ شیشه نشُد | که کارِ او زِ فُسون و فَسانه بیرون است | |
| ۶ | میانِ ابرویِ او خَشم‌هایِ دیرینه‌ست | گِرِه در ابرویِ لیلیْ هَلاکِ مَجنون است | |
| ۷ | بیا بیا که مرا بی‌تو زندگانی نیست | بِبین بِبین که مرا بی‌تو چَشمْ جَیحون است | |
| ۸ | به حَقِّ رویِ چو ماهَت که چَشمْ روشن کُن | اگر چه جُرمِ من از جُمله خَلْق اَفْزون است | |
| ۹ | به گِردِ خویش بَرآیَد دِلَم که جُرمَم چیست؟ | ز آن که هر سَبَبی با نتیجه مَقْرون است | |
| ۱۰ | نِدا همی‌رَسَدم از نَقیبِ حُکْمِ اَزَل | که گِردِ خویش مَجو کین سَبَب نه زَاکْنون است | |
| ۱۱ | خدایْ بَخشَد و گیرد بیارَد و بِبَرَد | که کارِ او نه به میزانِ عقلْ موزون است | |
| ۱۲ | بیا بیا که هم اکنون به لُطفِ کُنْ فَیَکون | بهشت دَر بِگُشایَد که غیرِ مَمْنون است | |
| ۱۳ | زِ عینِ خار بِبینی شکوفه‌هایِ عَجَب | زِ عینِ سنگ بِبینی که گنجِ قارون است | |
| ۱۴ | که لُطف تا اَبَد است و ازان هزار کلید | نَهان میانهٔ کاف و سَفینهٔ نون است |

| ۸- By the right of your moonlike countenance, brighten my eye, though my sins are greater than the whole of mankind’s. |
| ۹- My heart turns about itself, saying, “What is my sin? For every Cause is conjoined with a consequence.” |
| ۱۰- A proclamation comes to me from the Marshal of eternal judgment: “Seek not about your own self, for this cause belongs not to now.” |
| ۱۱- God gives and seizes, brings and carries away; His business is not to be measured by reason’s scales. |
| ۱۲- Come, come, for even now by the grace of Be and it is paradise opens its gate which is ungrud ging. |
| ۱۳- Of the essence of the thorn you behold marvellous flowers; of the essence of the stone you see the treasure of Korah. |
| ۱۴- Divine grace is eternal, and thereof a thousand keys lie hidden between the kāf and the ship of the nün. |
