غزل ۱۱۰ مولانا

۱	تو بِشْکَن چَنگِ ما را ای مُعَلّا	هزاران چَنگِ دیگر هست این جا
۲	چو ما در چَنگِ عشق اَنْدَرفُتادیم	چه کَم آید بَرِ ما چَنگ و سُرنا
۳	رَباب و چَنگِ عالَم گَر بِسوزَد	بَسی چَنگیّ پنهانی‌ست یارا
۴	تَرَنگ و تَنْتَنَش رَفته به گردون	اگر چه نایَد آن در گوش صَمّا
۵	چراغ و شمعِ عالَم گَر بمیرد	چه غَم، چون سنگ و آهن هست بَرجا
۶	به رویِ بَحرْ خاشاک است اَغانی	نیاید گوهری بر رویِ دریا
۷	وَلیکِن لُطفِ خاشاک از گُهَر دان	که عکسِ عکسِ بَرقِ اوست بَر ما
۸	اَغانی جُمله فَرعِ شوقِ وَصلی ست	بَرابَر نیست فَرع و اَصلْ اصلا
۹	دَهان بَربَند و بُگْشا روزَنِ دل	از آن رَه باش با اَرْواحْ گویا

۱- Do you break our harp, exalted one; thousands of other harps are here.

۲- Since we have fallen into the clutches of love, what matters it if we lose harp or reed pipe?

۳- If the whole world’s rebeck and harp should be consumed, many a hidden harp there is, my friend;

۴- The twanging and strumming mounts to the skies, even if it does not enter the ears of the deaf.

۵- If the whole world’s lamp and candle should flicker out, what cause for sorrow is that, since flint and steel still remain?

۶- Songs are spindrift on the face of the sea; no pearl comes on the surface of the sea;

۷- Yet know that the grace of the spindrift derives from the pearl, the reflection of the reflection of whose gleam is upon us.

۸- Songs are all but a branch of the yearning for union; branch and root are never comparable.

۹- Close your lips, and open the window of the heart; by that way be conversant with the spirits.
